SailPoint Engineer - Architect
Job Responsibilities
Provide expert knowledge and act as a subject matter expert on key principles of Identity and Access Management, with deep expertise in the SailPoint Identity Security Cloud (ISC) platform
Assist with building out engineering, development, and operational support for the adoption of next-generation IAM solutions in a cloud/SaaS environment
Implement modern authentication solutions leveraging standard protocols and frameworks such as SAML, OAuth 2.0, and OpenID Connect (OIDC)
Engage in the review and design of new IAM solutions to ensure appropriate controls and tools are selected and operationalized
Establish and maintain an IT multi-year strategy with a focus on continuous improvement for an enterprise identity and access management shared service solution
Ensure IAM solutions meet requirements for security, availability, scalability, resiliency, and performance in a way that is efficient and supportable, reducing overall support costs
Maintain effective partnerships with teams, vendors, managers, leaders, and stakeholders
Understand business needs and recommend modern identity security technology solutions
Required Skills and Experiences
8+ years of engineering experience in the Identity and Access Management (IAM) space
5+ years of hands-on engineering experience with the SailPoint Identity Security Cloud (ISC) platform (formerly IdentityNow)
Experience implementing identity and access governance policies and workflows in ISC, including access request, approval workflows, and certifications
Experience configuring and customizing Identity Security Cloud workflows, access profiles, identity attributes, and lifecycle events
Experience performing upgrades and enabling new features within the cloud SaaS environment
Experience configuring and managing certification campaigns (e.g., Manager, Application Owner, and Role Membership certifications) in ISC
Experience generating and customizing reports and dashboards within SailPoint ISC’s reporting and compliance modules
Experience integrating ISC with a wide range of technologies/tools and SaaS platforms via connectors and REST/SCIM APIs
Familiarity with scripting and automation languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python) for extending integrations and operational efficiencies
Ability to communicate with customers at all levels of management and deliver informative, well-organized presentations
Ability to listen and understand customer business goals, objectives, and priorities
Ability to collaborate effectively with customers to identify needs and evaluate alternative technical solutions
Ability to manage customer expectations effectively
Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical and business stakeholders
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or similar field
Nice to Have
Experience with Role Mining and access modeling tools
Experience with SailPoint IdentityIQ (IIQ) is a plus
Strong experience in key management in both classic architectures and cloud technologies
Health Insurance, Financial Services, or other highly regulated industry experience
SailPoint certified or willing to obtain certification
