Role Overview
We are seeking an engineer for a portal consolidation project. This project will replace several existing portals with a single, modern access management platform. This role focuses on migrating functionality from legacy portals, modernizing user and administrator experiences, and enabling seamless API-driven IAM workflows.
While an IAM background is preferred, the key skills required revolve around API security and integration, data transformation, explaining and troubleshooting IAM APIs for the application teams that will expose and consume them.
Key Responsibilities
Integrate front-end portal components with IAM APIs for real-time identity creation and provisioning
Deploy and configure APIs on gateways and developer portals
Troubleshoot and resolve API issues using a variety of tools including simulators and log analysis
Perform integration and data transformation between middleware layers, orchestration engines, and IAM platforms.
Work closely with IAM engineers, application teams, and other stakeholders across brands and regions.
Support phased global rollout activities across multiple time zones.
Required Skills & Experience
Strong experience with API management and understanding of REST.
Experience with provisioning interfaces such as SCIM, LDAP.
Comfort navigating and working across multiple cloud environments (Azure, AWS, SaaS)
Hands-on experience integrating RESTful APIs and working with API gateways.
Experience testing APIs with tools such as Postman, cURL or similar.
Knowledge of SDLC and automated deployments
Ability to work effectively with globally distributed teams.
Nice-to-Have Skills
Experience with enterprise-scale IAM projects.
Prior experience working with IBM ISAM/Verify APIs.
Working understanding of IAM concepts such as identity lifecycle, provisioning, and access requests.
Experience with Application Performance Monitoring (APM) tools
Understanding of secrets management (vaulting, rotating, and securely accessing secrets and keys)
Familiarity with service orchestration and workflow-driven systems.
Exposure to IAM platforms such as IBM Security, Ping, or similar.
Experience leveraging AI-assisted development tools.
