  • 3+ years' of those 7 years working in Product Security with various industry frameworks and certification efforts.  
  • Experience with IEC 62443, UL2900 and embedded devices desired 
    Experience with pentesting embedded devices a plus
Job Description: 

The Senior Engineer, Application and Product Security is primarily responsible for assisting and facilitating support on certification activities related to IEC62443, UL2900, ISO 27001, SOC-2, FedRamp, NIST 800-171 etc. and to maintain SECURE requirements and Secure Software Development Framework (SSDF) up to date with these and other industry standards / frameworks as needed.  

The Senior Engineer will be responsible for interfacing with respective stakeholders from different business functions viz. GRC, IT, Admin, Procurement, Supply Chain, Engineering and Application teams. They will be responsible for ensuring that our products and applications (which are getting sold to end customer) are achieving required certifications and ensuring Engineering teams and Application owners stay in compliance with the security expectations of the global organization. The Senior Engineer will be expected to stay current with the latest security best practices, frameworks, industry standards that can be deployed in Secure requirements and SSDF. They should also have experience in communicating clearly and concisely the requirements, expectations, and should be able to work closely with different stakeholders from varied business functions.

This position will be primarily based out of our World Headquarters building in Westerville, Ohio and will consistently work under the guidance and processes of global security and will support all the regional as well as global business functions. The Senior Engineer will be expected to use their knowledge and experience to further develop internal security best practices and processes.

Key Duties: 
  • Support certification activities for products and applications against various industry frameworks, such as, IEC62443, UL2900, ISO27001, SOC-2, FedRamp, NIST 800-171, etc.
  • Align and update the SECURE requirements and SSDF with industry standards.  This includes making edits to the associated policies, standards, and process documents.
  • Facilitate the approval process for making changes to SECURE and SSDF.
  • Assist engineering, development and offering teams with understanding the SECURE requirements and facilitate guiding them through the SECURE process.
  • Work with procurement and supply chain teams to ensure SECURE requirements are included in contracts with vendors and answer questions from vendors on the SECURE requirements.
  • Support attaining higher maturity levels by guiding teams on best practices, policies, and standards.
  • Work with IT GRC and support answering customer questionnaires regarding the security processes and details of the products and applications.
  • Responsible for ensuring that our products and applications are achieving required security related certifications.
  • The Senior Engineer will be expected to stay current with the latest security best practices, frameworks, and industry standards that can be deployed in the SECURE requirements and SSDF.
  • Experience in communicating clearly and concisely the requirements, expectations, and should be able to work closely with different stakeholders from varied business functions.
  • Complete support in preparing various reports, presentations, etc. on secure certifications or other activities outlined before as per the business needs and requirements.
  • Should be a good team member, work closely with all the team members regionally and globally and drive continuous improvement in processes and procedures.
Requirements: 
  • A bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related Engineering fields.
  • Seven or more years’ experience (7+ years) working in IT, Engineering or Security.
  • At least three (3+ years) of those seven years working in Product Security with various industry frameworks and certification efforts.  
  • Experience with IEC 62443 and embedded devices preferred.
  • Experience with pentesting embedded devices a plus.
  • Ability to interact with a broad cross-section of personnel to articulate and enforce security measures.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as business acumen.

  • Strong ability to establish partnerships and influence change and achieve results within dynamic environment.
  • Strong and meaningful contribution towards processes, frameworks, standards and policies and continuous improvements.
